California Board of Chiropractic Examiners Corrects Misleading Reported Discipline on Web Site

The California Board of Chiropractic Examiners corrected a misleading entry on its Web site, which reported discipline against a chiropractor.  Upon receipt of the author's letter, the Board acted promptly and professionally to correct the Internet posting on its Web site. 

Chiropractors who have received a citation, been placed on probation or had their licenses suspended or revoked should carefully review the report of discipline posted on the Board's Web site.  If the report is erroneous or misleading, write a letter to the Board and ask that the entry be corrected.

Physician loses case to prevent Internet posting of disciplinary action by the Medical Board of California

A physician who surrendered his California medical license pending an accusation sued the Medical Board of California seeking the removal of his disciplinary record from the Board’s Web site. The Court of Appeal ruled in favor of the Medical Board of California and denied the doctor’s appeal in Fulton v. The Medical Board of California, Case No. B215102. The decision was filed on On April 23, 2010.
